The System Sensor 4WTR-B is an advanced photoelectric i3 smoke detector with thermal sensor and Form C relay, designed for the fire alarm industry
This 4-wire smoke detector offers a variety of features that make installation and maintenance simple and convenient for the user. With its installer-friendly base and plug-in design, the device can be installed easily and accommodates a broad range of back box and direct mounting options.
To prevent nuisance alarms, the 4WTR-B detector is equipped with drift compensation and smoothing algorithms that minimize both short- and long-term causes of nuisance alarms such as RF interference and dust accumulation. It generates a remote maintenance signal when in a maintenance or freeze trouble condition, and the SENS-RDR allows for sensitivity measurement in terms of percent-per-foot obscuration, within seconds.
The i3 smoke detector has red and green LEDs that provide local status indication during power-up, standby, alarm, maintenance, and freeze trouble conditions. It also has an 85 dB sounder that generates a temporal tone when in alarm. If connected to the RRS-MOD reversing relay/synchronization module, all i3 sounders on the loop will activate when one detector is in alarm. The isolated thermal model is useful for differentiating between a local and general alarm, initiating a local alarm when smoke is detected and a general alarm when the thermal sensor is activated.
The System Sensor 4WTR-B offers a variety of technical specifications such as an alarm contact rating of 0.5A @ 30 VAC/DC, standby current of 50 A max. avg., and wiring gauge of 14-22 AWG. It has a detection method of photoelectric and a sensitivity of 2.5%/ft. nominal. Its operating voltage is 12/24 V non-polarized nominal, with a humidity range of 0% to 95% RH, noncondensing, and a temperature range of 32 to 100F (0 to 37.8C). The device weighs 7.1 oz. (200 g) and has dimensions of 2.0" (51mm) H x 5.3" (127mm) Dia.
